Central Park, Manhattan
19 April 2009
45:11 finish
This was not only my first 4-mile race, but also my first race after moving to New York City. I admit it: I was a little overwhelmed with the feeling of finally running a real race in Central Park, in a city I had only ever dreamed of living it. There were some surreal moments. There were also a lot of other runners. I’m used to a couple hundred tops and there were thousands and thousands of other runners in this race. Â Overall, I had a good time and I was glad to have another distance under my racing belt.
