BUS Pajama Romp 6-Hour

Astoria Park
25 July 2015
27.7 miles completed

I had high hopes for this event this year, thinking I may have learned some good lessons last year. I really really wanted to run past 29 miles (two more loops), but once again I didn’t make it past 28.

Last year I had stomach issues early in the event which then morphed into bladder issues. This year I felt good for the first four hours and then had bladder issues again! And this time they were actually worse, pain-wise. More about that later. Read More

Sybil Ludington 50k

Carmel, NY
25 April 2015

I’m still baffled and amused by this description of the course I overheard:  “It has three significant climbs.” To me, it had about 15 significant climbs.  lol Read More

6 Hour Ultra Marathon Race

Clove Lakes Park, Staten Island
20 September 2014
20 Miles, 4:39:48 Finish

I ran this event in 2013, when it had been temporarily moved to another Staten Island park. I think I liked the other course a little better, although this one was much more scenic. Clove Lakes Park consists of three small lakes; the course consisted of a 2-mile loop on a paved path circling the lower two. There were a couple of hills, but it was flat for the most part. Read More
