There are all sorts of ways to stay motivated, such as signing up for races or making plans to meet someone to run. But another way is to take part in activities in the running community at large. I just learned of a new one called the F3 Badge Challenge. It’s part of a contest sponsored by the FurtherFasterForever community and Road ID (who I love) and it’s designed to get people out the door and moving. From March 1-17 you try to earn as many badges listed on the site as possible. If you succeed, you post your accomplishments to Instagram or Facebook. Winners get prizes. Triathletes have the definite advantage, since their activities are the most varied, but there are still plenty of challenges to take on even if you don’t bike/run/swim. I’m in and in two days I’ve already earned six badges!
